Welcome to ClydeMaritime - a one-stop resource for all Clyde-based shipping news.
On our site you will find shipping movements – arrivals and departures – for vessels on the Clyde, along with listings for Cruise Ships visiting Greenock.
We have links to operators of Clyde ferries and cruises, as well as a section for historical reference material - which includes sections on all known Puffers and Vics, and information on the 'X' Lighters which was previously available on the Riversea International website. Newly added is a section of Shipbreaking records from the West of Scotland Shipbreaking Yard at Troon.
The Reference section is small at present, but includes a link to the new Clyde Built Ships database run by the Caledonian Maritime Reasearch Trust - www.clydeships.co.uk.
We have plans for other articles on Clyde Passenger Steamers and Marine Engineering to name but a few. If you would like to contribute an article or information on any of these subjects, or indeed any other subject which could be of interest to our community at Clyde Maritime then please get in touch with us.
The ClydeMaritime forum contains the latest news and photos not just from the Clyde, but from around the world. Please click the forum link at the top or bottom of this page, or type forums.clydemaritime.co.uk into your browser's address bar.
Access to Clyde Maritime is FREE of charge. In order to access all features of our Forum though you need to register some details with us and create a username (but still free of charge).
It has come to our attention recently that there are numerous fake emails circulating allegedly from ClydeMaritime regarding employment and VISA requests from India for work. These emails are a HOAX and should be ignored. ClydeMaritime is run by one person on a voluntary basis and does not employ any staff within the shipping and maritime sectors.
