HMS Upright (Lt. E.D. Norman, DSC, RN) torpedoes and sinks the Italian merchant Silvia Tripcovich (2365 GRT) about 60 nautical miles north-east of Sfax, Tunisia in position 34º23'N, 11º49'E.

HMS Upright (Lt. E.D. Norman, DSC, RN) torpedoes and sinks the Italian light cruiser Armando Diaz east off Sfax, Tunisia in position 34º33'N, 11º45'E. Upright misses an Italian destroyer in the same attack.
